Legal Experience
The focus of her practice has been employment law, particularly the representation of employers in federal and
state courts and administrative agencies. In addition to claims filed by individual plaintiffs, she has represented
employers in both employment discrimination and wage and hour class actions, with first chair trial experience.
Out of the courtroom, Ms. Gannon advises clients on compliance with employment laws, human resources best
practices, and the investigation of employee complaints. She enjoys conducting training for employers and is a frequent speaker on employment law topics. Ms. Gannon serves as an arbitrator and mediator for the United States District Court for the Northern District of California and is the Chair of the Bar Association of San Francisco’s Fee Dispute Committee.
Education
AnnaMary E. Gannon graduated from the Arizona State University College of Law (J.D. 1976), where she also obtained her undergraduate degree (B.S., with honors, 1971) and the University of Oregon (M.A., 1972) and is admitted to practice law in California and Arizona.
